The green serves many roles for the local community; a place to wander lost in thought, a social place to gather, an opportunity to work on the landscape, and as inspiration for our many talented and creative people in Shaftesbury.
One of those amazing talents is local artist Zara McQueen, who has frequently been inspired by the view towards Melbury from the bottom of the green. Here's one of her great works in situ. |
